I managed to visit the gym at the firehouse and spend some time on the treadmill, as well as use some barbells. Then to top it off, I headed over to the outdoor basketball court behind the town hall to shoot some hoops. I had promised myself that I would get some exercise today.
When I got home I had a workout in the front yard: pulling out weeds.
The New York Mets managed to beat the Phillies again today, this time by a score of 8-3.
The Yankees lost to Oakland, 7-0.
This evening we had a fire call for an open burn. When we got to the scene we noticed smoke coming from a yard, but the owner comes out to speak to the chief to tell him that she has a burn pit it the back yard. So it was back to the firehouse.
So far we have not had any firecracker caused injuries or brush fires due to Roman candles or bottle rockets landing in the brush.
Tomorrow we are going in to Queens to visit my mom & dad. Once there my wife and I plan to take in a movie, most likely Michael Moore’s new release, titled Sicko.
